FlameReader—Standard Version is text-to-speech software which can convert any text into spoken words. It reads aloud text from Word, Emails, Wage Pages, Power Points, PDF and more; converts text into audio files to play on portable devices, like CD player and Ipod; translates in 7 languages.

Read aloud any text in computerText to Speech

Any text in your PC can be red out, Word files, PowerPoint files, E-mails, WebPages, PDF files, e-books and more. Select some text, click “Read”, then FlameReader will read it to you.

Customize Reader, Speed and Pitch

You can choose any reader in your computer to read, and there are 7 reading speeds for choice. You can adjust readers’ pitch to make the voice sound older or younger. There are 11 pitches for choice. You also can change them in the “Option”.

You can make conversation which involves several speakers. Inserting silence at the proper place makes the conversation livelier.

You can use the essential functions by add-in toolbars in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, IE without opening FlameReader—read or convert directly without copying and pasting, even opening the software. Regarding PowerPoint, you can create the audio files in advance to save time during presentation.

You can convert text files into audio files in batch, saving time and increasing efficiency.

Pronunciation Editor

You can change the pronunciation of special words and add new abbreviations.

Special-Needs Version

Overview

FlameReader - Special-Needs is specially designed for users who struggle with reading, writing, learning and other challenges.

“Typing Echo” reads the letters, words or sentences as being typed; “Mouse Echo” reads what the cursor is pointing to; “Big buttons” is friendly for poor eyesight users.

You can make conversation in a few seconds; “Pronunciation Editor” lets you decide the pronunciation for particular words; Recorder and Player can record and play audio files.Users can record their own voices, paraphrasing text in their own words, as a powerful voice notes study tool. The recording feature allows for automatic file naming and saving in the background, thus allowing the user to focus on the content of voice notes, without being concerned about saving voice files.

Integrated toolbars in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer; Hot-Keys are also available.
